MP Jaroslav Foldyna (second from left), who left the Czech junior government Social Democrats (CSSD) and thereby its deputy group in late February, has joined the MPs' group of the anti-EU far-right Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD), he and SPD leader Tomio Okamura said at a press conference today, on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. They said they shared political priorities. Foldyna will also run as unaffiliated for the opposition SPD in the autumn regional election as number three on the SPD's list of candidates in the Usti Region, north Bohemia, the SPD announced in early March.
