Miyabiyama into 'sanyaku' ranks for New Year sumo

TOKYO, Japan - Miyabiyama (L), one of the rising stars of the Musashigawa stable, is promoted to komusubi Dec. 22 in the Japan Sumo Association rankings for next month's New Year Grand Sumo Tournament. Miyabiyama points to his name in the rankings list he is holding with Musashigawa, his stable master. The wrestler had an 8-7 win-loss record in Kyushu last month.
