Bangladesh: Fire at Dhaka Airport Cargo Terminal Forces Flight Delays, Diversions

A major fire broke out in the cargo bay of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Saturday, October 18, while a passenger plane was sitting on the tarmac nearby. The fire, which took 27 hours to extinguish, heavily damaged storage areas containing large quantities of raw materials, apparel, and product samples belonging to exporters.
