BEIJING, China - Japan's double Olympic champion Kosuke Kitajima in action in the men's 100-meter breaststroke semifinals of the Beijing Olympics at the Water Cube in Beijing on Aug. 10. Kitajima, the reigning 100- and 200-meter breaststroke Olympic champion, clocked the second fastest time of 59.55 seconds, 0.39 second behind Norway's Alexander Dale Oen, who set a new Olympic record in posting the fastest qualifying time of 59.16.
