Heavy rain and hail hit the Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City during the final minutes of the Pumas vs. Atlas match on Sunday, August 31. The sudden downpour flooded the pitch, the corridors leading to the locker rooms, and areas around the anti-doping rooms, forcing many fans to seek shelter. The post-match press conference for Atlas coach Diego Cocca was canceled due to the unsafe conditions, as waterlogged passageways made it impossible for him to reach the media area safely. Portugal: Covilha Wildfire Spreads to Nearby Towns, Residents Urged to Stay Safe

The Covilha wildfire, now the country's most resource-intensive fire, has spread to Fundao and Silvares. Authorities have warned residents of multiple villages to seek safety as flames threaten homes, factories, and farmland. Roads are closed to aid firefighting efforts, and the municipal emergency plan is in effect.
