Bangladesh: Large Fire Erupts at Chattogram Factory

A massive fire broke out around 2 p.m. Thursday, October 16 at the Adams Caps & Textiles Ltd factory in the Chattogram Export Processing Zone. Nineteen fire units, supported by the Navy, Air Force, Army, and police, worked for hours to control the blaze, which began in a warehouse on the sixth and seventh floors. No deaths were reported, though several workers suffered minor injuries while escaping. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Munoz captured the World Boxing Association super flyweight championship after sending the defending champion to the canvas for the fourth time in the fight as referee Stanley Christodoulou of South Africa jumped in to signal the end at 1:31 in the eighth round.

'Little Hong Kong' created in Tokyo seaside shopping mall

TOKYO, Japan - A Tokyo shopping mall aimed to recreate the atmosphere of Hong Kong is opened to journalists Dec. 1, one day before it begins commercial operations. Dubbed ''Little Hong Kong,'' the mall occupies the sixth and seventh floors of the new seven-story Island Mall annex of the Decks Tokyo Beach seaside shopping center in Tokyo's Odaiba.
