China: Dog Trapped in Sewer for Over 20 Hours Rescued Unharmed in Hunan

On December 14, 2025, in Hunan Province, China, a man used an excavator to break open concrete and safely rescue a white dog that had been trapped in a sewer for over 20 hours after a neighbor heard it whimpering from beneath the road. According to the owner, the ground surface was restored to its original condition following the rescue.

Floods Cleanup Efforts Continue - Spain

The search for possible victims of the DANA in the province of Valencia continues today with the deployment of search teams in the deepest areas of the Albufera, while work also continues in the area of the Magro River, the Rambla de Poio, the mouth of the Turia River and the sea. According to the first Emergencies report on the impact of the DANA, about 2,450 firefighters from more than 40 agencies are operating in the areas affected by the floods, in addition to 8,000 military personnel, including 52 divers. China: Father And Son Rescued After Falling Into Manhole In Wuhan

A boy, together with his father, was rescued after falling into a manhole in Wuhan, Hubei on May 25. The filmer of the video rushed to the scene after hearing people yelling to call for the police. Initially thinking it was a traffic accident, he realized that a father and son were in a manhole upon close inspection. Passersby and police used a rope to pull the father and son after a wooden pole was too slippery to help in the rescue. The filmer stopped recording and assisted in the rescue. He later found out from the father that when his 2 sons were playing on the street, they accidentally stepped on an unsecured manhole cover and the younger one fell into the manhole.
