A video filmed in Guangdong, China, on August 26, 2025, captured a lizard undergoing a unique shedding process assisted by its owner. The owner used a straw to gently blow air under the lizard's old skin, causing the white translucent layer to quickly inflate

China: Owner Helps Pet Gecko Shed Skin Using Straw

On August 6, 2025, in Hebei province, located in northern China, a video recorded a pet leopard gecko during its shedding period. The owner decided to assist the reptile with the process. Holding the gecko’s body steady, the owner used a straw to create a small opening in the skin. Bit by bit, the old white layer was peeled away like removing a glove. The gecko reacted with small grimaces, but the shedding was completed successfully. The clip fascinated viewers who rarely see such close-up animal care.

China: Man Escapes Seconds Before Wind Blows Shed Onto Sidewalk

A dramatic video from Xinxiang, Henan, on June 15, 2025, shows a man trying to protect his potted plant during a fierce windstorm—only to flee seconds before a metal shed crashes down on the spot. Identified as Mr. Yang, the man clung to the plant outside his store before running inside just in time. The shed landed where he had stood moments earlier. Debris was left scattered across the street, but he was unharmed.
