On the night of April 23rd a torch march of tens of thousands of people walk to the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial in Yerevan to lay flowers at the eternal flame, this is continued all day on April 24th. The Memorial Day is observed in Armenia, the state of California, Canada, France, and Argentina. It is estimated that between 600,000 to 1.5 million Armenians died as a result.
