Vlasta Chramostova, a Czech theatre and film actress and a former leading anti-communist dissident and Charter 77 human rights manifesto signatory, died on October 6, aged 92, National Theatre (ND). Chramostova was the holder of the Order of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, a high state decoration which former President Vaclav Havel bestowed on her for her contribution to democracy and human rights in 1998. Besides, she became a laureate of the National Theatre's Hall of Fame in 2015.
