Queen crab for school lunch

TOYAMA, Japan - The Shinminato fishermen cooperative in Imizu, a fishing town on the Sea of Japan coast in Toyama Prefecture, is offering free queen crabs to sixth graders as a treat to local primary school students. The coop, which launched the annual queen-crab-for-school-lunch program in 2003, plans to give one crab to each of the 900 sixth graders in 16 local primary schools this year as well.
