Turkey’s Antalya Muratpaşa Municipality’s Flower Festival starts at the Ziya Gökalp City Park on the Muratpasa’s Mediterranean coast in Antalya, Turkey on May 9, 2025. In the event attended by young people from 11 high schools, the patterns applied to wooden floors came to life with flowers. Preparations for the event, which was held in cooperation with the city of Noto, famous for its flower festival in Sicily and on the UNESCO World Heritage List, were completed days in advance. The park where the competition will be held was equipped with butterfly-patterned benches, special pots and eco-friendly decorations produced in the municipality’s workshops. 115 thousand branches of flowers specially grown in the municipality’s production facilities were prepared for the young people to create their own patterns. Flowers, including marigolds, petunias, garden ash and yellow daisies, began to decorate the park in different colors and patterns. Photo by Depo Photos/ABACAPRESS.COM
