A row of Japanese cedar trees along the Nikko Road

Cedar trees line the street near present-day Imaichi City. The sides of the streets and the area around the roots of the trees are surprisingly clean. Various tracks are visible on the surface of the road, perhaps reflecting the time when modes of transportation were diversifying to include rickshaws, stagecoaches and buses.==Date:unknown, Place:Nikko, Photo:R.
