On the aiguillettes hanging from the right breast are the letters "G.R", denoting that he was formerly personal Aide-de-Camp to his Father, George V. The domaru (torso guard) was used by samurai from the mid-Kamakura Period. The man strikes a stately pose in his kabuto war helmet, shoulder protectors, hitatare frontal armour and war shoes.
