TOKYO, Japan - A November 2005 file photo shows ukulele-strumming comic chat artist Shinji Maki during a dinner show in Tokyo. Maki died on April 29, 2013, after jumping into the Tama River bordering Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture in an apparent suicide, police said. He was 78.
