Kanazawa's tourism pamphlet with retro looks

KANAZAWA, Japan - Kanazawa's board game-style travel brochure based on a "sugoroku" board game from 200 years ago is seen in this photograph. Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture is expecting more visitors due to bullet train service on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line starting in March 2015 (Nagano-Kanazawa) to link Tokyo with Kanazawa.

TOKYO, Japan - Part of a printing block (above), used as a board for a "sugoroku" game (a type of snakes and ladders) in the late Edo period (1603-1867), and its print are shown in this file photo taken on March 8, 2014. The block was discovered by a sugoroku researcher in Sendai, northeastern Japan.
