A dramatic dog rescue unfolded amidst severe weather conditions in Changde, Hunan, southern China on June 20, 2024. Following torrential downpours, a poor dog was stranded in the swift currents of floodwaters. Two individuals extended a ladder into the water, providing a makeshift bridge to safety for the animal. Working together, one man held the ladder while the other climbed up and carefully retrieved the dog.

Video shows a man holding a fishing net catching fish from the swift, muddy water. Despite the inconvenience to the local people caused by the heavy rain, the man managed to find some humor in the situation, and his actions brought joy to onlookers.
