A bride

Since this is a black and white photograph it is difficult to say for sure, but the bride's dress seems to be of black crepe in formal furisode style. It has bright floral patterns with five crests which were a frequent pattern in bridal costumes. The hair is arranged in bunkin-takashimada coiffure. A tortoiseshell comb, floral comb and floral hairpin are placed in the hair with a tsunokakushi hood all around.==Date:unknown, Place:unknown, Photo:unknown, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number72‐148‐0]

A woman with her hair is arranged in bunkin-takashimada style is wearing a shawl over her shoulders. The shawl is intended for use over the shoulders, not over the entire kimono.
