(230422) -- HEFEI, April 22, 2023 (Xinhua) -- Students from a special aerospace metal materials research team of Institute of Solid State Physics of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) test the tensile properties of a metal material at Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of CAS in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, on April 19, 2023. Located on the outskirts of Hefei, "Science Island" is home to the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Science. On the "island," a group of scientific researchers, who focus on tackling key problems in aerospace technologies, satellite payloads and key components of spacecraft, are devoting themselves to the development of Chinese space industry.
