Czech Roman Catholic priest and theologian Tomas Halik

***DECEMBER 16, 2018, FILE PHOTO*** German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier awarded the 1st class Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to Czech Roman Catholic priest and theologian Tomas Halik, Czech Christian Academy spokeswoman Ilona Trnkova told CTK today. Halik was awarded for his activities in support of a just society, his contribution to Czech-German conciliation and the dialogue between nations and religions.
