Nearly 100 enterprises are exhibiting their latest products, including some Chinese car manufacturers. Chinese automaker BYD is showcasing three of its latest NEVs, pledging to offer better charging services to European car owners. GWM has brought several of its new energy vehicles to the show. The company plans to unveil more than 50 NEV products by 2025. Chinese-made plug-in hybrid sedan debuts at Detroit motor show

DETROIT, United States - A Chinese-made plug-in hybrid sedan on display at the North American Auto Show in Detroit on Jan. 14. BYD Auto, the Chinese maker of the hybrid, said it will launch the car in China this year and is hoping to sell the sedan in the U.S. market in three to five years. Five carmakers to launch fuel-cell car test

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows a fuel-cell car manufactured by General Motors Corp. of the United States. It is one of fuel-cell motor vehicles to be entered by three Japanese and two foreign automakers into a joint test on Japanese roads. The Japan Electric Vehicle Association said July 17 the test, sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, will last for three years through the end of March 2005.
