OSAKA, Japan - Hall of Famer Jiro Noguchi (file photo taken 1989), one of only three pitchers who has earned 40 or more wins in a season in Japanese baseball history, died of pneumonia at a hospital in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, on May 21, his family said. He was 87.
