Outside view of nikko toshogu shrine

The back of the Yomei Gate can be seen between the cedar trees in the rear of the temple. To the left is the Kagura Hall, to the right the mikoshi hut, and to the fore the roof of the hall of worship. The roof of the Yomei Gate is done in Irimoya style with tohafu (Chinese gable) in four directions. The surrounding corridor which starts from the Yomei Gate goes around the main hall, and the back of the main hall is a stone wall.
