US: Residents Evacuate To High Ground Parking Lot In Florida Ahead Of Hurricane Milton

Hurricane Milton strengthened into a Category 5 storm on Monday, October 7, and is heading toward Florida, prompting evacuations. Heavy rainfall was expected to begin on Monday evening. Tampa Bay International Airport halted flights, and schools in more than 20 counties were closed on Tuesday. This video shows vehicles and boats parked in a Target parking lot on high ground in Fort Myers ahead of the hurricane.
