STORY: Afghan ministry puts 7 large-scale stone mines for bidding DATELINE: May 24, 2022 LENGTH: 00:02:06 LOCATION: Kabul CATEGORY: ECONOMY SHOTLIST: 1. various of stone mines 2. various of workers STORYLINE: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of the Afghan caretaker government has announced bidding on the extraction of seven large-scale stone mines, the ministry confirmed on Monday. The ministry's Directorate of Large-Scale Mines Management has announced the tenders for five marble mines in Nangarhar, Kapisa, Bamiyan, Parwan and Herat provinces, a travertine stone mine in Daykundi province, and a granite mine in Maidan Wardak province, according to the ministry's website. The tenders for the said mine projects were announced on April 21 by the ministry, however, as per the instruction of the minister of mines and petroleum the "tender has been renounced for 30 days starting from May 20." Interested companies can receive the bidding documents from the ministry's website or visit the ministry's
