The president of the Partido Popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, appears before the media at the national headquarters of the Partido Popular, on December 29, 2025, in Madrid (Spain). Two days before the end of the current year, during his speech, Feijóo took stock of 2025, listing what have been for the PP the ten failures of the Government in this period: housing, migration, international policy, protection of the family and women, and corruption, among others. The leader of the PP stated that in Spain "it is the Government that is failing, not the nation" and that the PP is prepared to offer an alternative to this Executive. Pope Leo XIV Visits the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace at Mentorella - Vatican

Pope Leo XIV Visits the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace at Mentorella - Vatican

Pope Leo XIV made a private visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace at Mentorella ( Santuario Madonna delle Grazie alla Mentorella) in the village of Guadangolo, 65 km south of Rome, Italy on August 19, 2025. After dedicating time to prayer, the Holy Father spent time with the Polish Resurrectionist religious who serve at the sanctuary before returning to the papal residence at Castel Gandolfo. Mentorella sits on top of a mountain. It holds a special connection to several pontiffs: Pope John Paul II, just nine days after being elected pope, made a pilgrimage to the Shrine. Pope Benedict XVI also visited the sanctuary in 2005, and Pope Innocent XIII (1721-1724) had requested his heart to be buried there. Tradition holds it was the place where St. Eustachius converted in the 2nd century. Two hundred years later, Emperor Constantine built a basilica on the spot where the saint converted, and it was consecrated by Pope Silvester I in the years before 335. Ten Women Honoured On Rue De La Chapelle - Paris

Ten Women Honoured On Rue De La Chapelle - Paris

During the 2024 Paris Olympics, ten gilded statues were erected in honour of women who have made significant contributions to French history in the fields of science, the arts, literature, politics and sport. The monumental statues appeared alongside the River Seine, at the foot of the Pont Alexandre III bridge, while Axelle Saint-Cirel sang La Marseillaise from the roof of the Grand Palais. Entitled “Sororité” (Sisterhood), the spectacle was conceived by Thomas Jolly as a tribute to the feminist movement. A few days before the first anniversary of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, the statues will be installed along Boulevard de la Chapelle. The first two have already been installed in this renovated district. Gisèle Halimi and Christine de Pizan were the first to be installed on the boulevard, in Paris, France, on July 20, 2025.
