Court bars gov't from opening Isahaya Bay dike

NAGASAKI, Japan - Farmers and their lawyers celebrate outside the Nagasaki District Court in Nagasaki Prefecture on Nov. 12, 2013, after the court issued an injunction barring the government from opening the floodgates of the Isahaya Bay dike in the prefecture. The injunction was sought by local farmers opposed to the planned opening of two sluice gates for five years to examine damage to the local environment and fishing.
