Hitachi's robot for Fukushima plant

TOKYO, Japan - The Hitachi Ltd. group unveils Astaco-SoRa at the company's plant in Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture, on Dec. 7, 2012. The relatively small, remote controlled, two-armed robot was designed to clear out, or transport things into, a highly irradiated area and will be promoted for use at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
