The Monroe Canyon Fire in Sevier County, Utah, a two-week-old wildfire, has grown to over 30,000 acres as of Tuesday, July 29. Level 3, "Go Now" evacuations have been ordered in some areas due to the fire.

The dog, of the Spitz type, is rarely seen outside Japan. It was named after Japan's indigenous Ainu people who live in Hokkaido. The breed has been largely unchanged for tens of thousands of years. By the time of its 1937 designation, it was in danger of extinction.
