Mitsubishi Motors releases RVR compact SUV

TOKYO, Japan - Mitsubishi Motors Corp. President Osamu Masuko stands by the company's new RVR utility vehicle during a presentation in Tokyo on Feb. 17, 2010. TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. President Fujio Cho shows off Toyota's new vehicle Will Cypha car, which features G-Book onboard wireless information terminal, in Tokyo on Oct. 21. The G-Book enables drivers to access about 30 different information services, including navigation, e-commerce, news and weather. The 1.3-liter, two-wheel-drive Will Cypha carries a suggested price tag of 1.26 million yen. The 1.5-liter, four-wheel-drive version will sell for 1.48 million yen.

Suzuki to launch MR Wagon minicar Dec. 4

TOKYO, Japan - Leading Japanese minivehicle maker Suzuki Motor Corp. will launch a new five-door minicar, the MR Wagon, Dec. 4. It will also supply the vehicle to Nissan Motor Co. starting next spring under an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement. The MR Wagon, whose two-wheel-drive version is priced at 1,135,000 yen, is targeted at housewives in their late 20s and 30s.

Toyota's new car inspired by horse-drawn carriage

NAGOYA, Jan. 17 Kyodo - Toyota Motor Corp. on Jan. 17 introduced its WiLL Vi passenger car, which has body styling reminiscent of horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear. The standard, two-wheel-drive model with an engine displacement of 1300 cc is priced at 1.3 million yen, Toyota said. The car's body incorporates grooved panels and a sharply angled rear window, which Toyota says evoke the image of a horse-drawn carriage.
