Sharp launches new color LCD monitor for better display

TOKYO, Japan - Major consumer electronics maker Sharp Corp. will put on the market Dec. 27 a new color liquid crystal display (LCD) monitor featuring enhanced display systems that allow users to enjoy a more sensitive delineation unobtainable with the conventional model. The new 18.1-inch LCD screen will be sold with a price tag of around 220,000 yen. Sharp says the new LCD boasts sensitive delineation equal to the CRT display, adding that it expects the color LCD to be used more widely in the future.
