In the operation carried out in Istanbul, Ankara, Mugla, Antalya, and Aydin, the police seized assets worth more than 1 billion Turkish liras (42.3 million U.S. dollars) from the suspects allegedly engaged in the cocaine trade and other criminal activities in many European countries, the Demiroren news agency reported. The seized assets include real estate in Türkiye, cash, jewelry, and other valuables. The police also found a suitcase full of money, a gold-plated gun, and luxury watches at the suspects' homes. MIYAKO, Japan - Successive photos, obtained by the Iwate Prefectural Museum, show the March 11, 2011, tsunami striking an area in Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, shortly after a magnitude 9.0 earthquake. The top photo shows a fishing port breakwater (in the center of the photo) submerged at 3:12 p.m., the middle photo shows it reemerging at 3:16 p.m. as the water level falls and the bottom photo shows it being overrun by a huge tsunami with an estimated speed of 115 kilometers per hour at 3:18 p.m. The museum said many people, who had escaped from their homes, were killed after returning home to fetch valuables when the initial tsunami wave subsided.
