Owaku-dani Valley

Owakudani is the place where Chuo-Shinzan of Hakone Volcano erupted. A considerable amount of hydrogen sulfide gas is emitted. Thus, normal plants cannot survive. This photo depicts the rough rocky valley. The person in the lower right shows the vastness of the area.
