CHINA-GUIZHOU-WORLD'S HIGHEST BRIDGE-RURAL INN (CN)

(230820) -- LIUPANSHUI, Aug. 20, 2023 (Xinhua) -- This photo taken on Aug. 16, 2023 shows a night view of the Beipanjiang Bridge on the Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway seen from Ma Xuanjun's house, southwest China's Guizhou Province. Sitting over 565.4 meters above a valley, the Beipanjiang Bridge has been certified as the world's highest bridge by the Guinness World Records. In recent years, the bridge has turned out to be a popular tourist attraction owning to the stunning scenery around it. Ma Xuanjun, a farmer living near the Beipanjiang Bridge, turned his newly-built brick house into a rural inn in 2019 and started to receive tourists from afar. "Before the bridge was built, it would take us four hours to climb over the mountain to the town seat," said Ma. Now, his inn is decorated with photos he took with tourists from home and abroad. "Many tourists visited our village for the bridge. I will do my best to make them feel happy and remember my hometown," Ma said. (Xinhua/Tao Liang)

The city of Nagasaki and Nagasaki Harbour

Many buildings were built on the Umegasaki landfill area on the left. The Nagasaki Custom House is also visible dockside. Western-style buildings have been built by the Shinchi sea side and an embankment is in the process of being built behind the buildings. Shin-Ohashi Bridge, constructed in 1869 at the mouth of Nakashima River before redirection work, is visible. A new western-style building is constructed on Dejima across from Tsukimachi. However, neither Mii Church built in 1876 nor the bell tower of Seikokai Theology School built in 1878 is visible. Therefore, this photo must have been taken around 1872. This is a bird's-eye view from Mt. A night view of the historical Stari Most, an arch Old Bridge build in the 16th century over the Neretva River connecting the two parts of the Mostar city, Bosnia and Herzegovina, September 8, 2018. The Old Bridge was destroyed on 9 November 1993 during the Balkan War.
