China: Cat Accidentally Locked Inside Freezer Caught on Camera

On February 13, 2023, in Songyuan, northeastern China’s Jilin province, a video shows a woman placing items into her refrigerator. While she was arranging the food, a small house cat quietly climbed into the lower freezer drawer beneath the main compartment. Unaware the cat was inside, the woman closed the refrigerator and sat down to check her phone. Moments later, a loud meow from the fridge caught her attention. She rushed back and opened the freezer drawer, where the cat emerged, walking stiffly and unsteadily from the cold. The clip ends as the cat moves away, leaving the open drawer and empty freezer behind.

China: Tiny Hedgehog Spotted on Quiet Night Street in Shanxi

On July 26, 2025, in Shanxi, located in northern China, a driver noticed a small round creature on a quiet street at night. Turning on his headlights, he saw a tiny hedgehog walking slowly across the road. The hedgehog looked startled by the light, turned around, and started walking away with its chubby little paws. PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Faridullah Saharjan, a 14-year-old Afghan boy, speaks Oct. 12 of his two-night trek to Peshawar, Pakistan from his war-torn homeland. He told Kyodo News, ''I couldn't sleep the first night of the bombing, because I was so scared. I was told by my father to run away, so I finally reached here after (endlessly) walking through for two nights.''
