On October 2, 2024, in Shanghai, located in eastern China, a video recorded a humorous yet helpless moment at a nature reserve. A traffic officer stood by the roadside when several monkeys swaggered toward him. One bold monkey reached out and grabbed the officer deliberately. Seeing no resistance, the rest of the monkeys grew braver and surrounded him. Some even attempted to scratch or poke him lightly. On December 14, 2025, in Ya’an, Sichuan Province, a video shows the monkey swiftly crossing the river by stepping on a rope at the Erlang Mountain Laba River Scenic Area. According to Ms. Jiang, who was visiting the riverbank with friends, monkeys on the opposite side noticed the crowd and quickly made their way across the rope with surprising speed.
