US: Massive Fire Destroys Seafood Warehouse in Galveston, Texas

A massive fire destroyed the Texas Gulf Seafood distribution warehouse near the Galveston Yacht Marina on Wednesday night, August 5. The blaze broke out around 8:40 p.m. at Pier 7, near 7th Street and Wharf Road, sending towering flames and heavy smoke into the sky. Three people and a dog were safely rescued with no injuries reported, and the fire was contained early Thursday morning.

Japan: Typhoon Dolphin Brings High Waves to Kagoshima Coast

UK: Air Ambulance Lands in Trafalgar Square After Covent Garden Stabbing

Four men were stabbed in London's Covent Garden district on Endell Street on Wednesday, August 5, prompting a major emergency response. A 47-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident. A London Air Ambulance helicopter was filmed in Trafalgar Square, where a temporary landing zone had been set up in front of Nelson's Column, though all victims were ultimately transported to hospital by road.
