Jiuzhaigou, or Jiuzhai Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famed for its spectacular waterfalls, lush forests, serene plateau lakes and karst rock formations in the mountainous areas. Mountain hawk-eagles mostly live in the mountainous forest area of different altitudes, up to 4,000 meters above sea level.
