As of Wednesday, more than 38,000 medics from 15 provincial-level regions had rushed to the megacity to help with the fight. Volunteers have helped distribute antigen home-testing kits, conduct citywide nucleic acid testing and deliver daily necessities. Police are also using drones to patrol key areas and deliver medicine to local residents.
