Osaka Gas launches wind power plant in Wakayama

OSAKA, Japan - A new wind power plant is fully launched on Sept. 29, 2011, in Yura, Wakayama Prefecture. Osaka Gas Co. held a ceremony to fully launch the plant capable of generating up to 10,000 kilowatts of electricity, enough to power 7,200 households. The gas utility will sell all electricity generated by the plant to Kansai Electric Power Co.
