On March 24, 2026, in Wuhan, located in central China’s Hubei province, a video recorded a robot dog encountering a golden retriever outdoors. As soon as the machine noticed the real dog, it moved excitedly and took on a posture that looked like it wanted to challenge it. The golden retriever had apparently never seen such a machine before. Faced with the robot dog’s movements and sounds, it quickly jumped into nearby bushes and stayed hidden. The robot dog remained outside waiting, while the retriever did not dare come back out. It only peered from behind the grass and kept its distance from the machine.
