Robert Garside, a 31-year-old Briton attempting to run around the world, arrives in Nihombashi in Tokyo's Chuo Ward on June 11, completing the eastern leg of his Japan course, which started from Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido.       Japanese electric car completes round-the-world trip

      LOS ANGELES, United States - Masaharu Fujinaka (C), professor of Tokyo Denki University, and his students pose for pictures in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, on Oct. 10 after completing the final leg of their round-the-world journey in an electric car. Fujinaka's team left Japan on July 3 to begin the 18,000 kilometer journey through Russia, Europe and the United States. During the 100-day journey, Masahiro Furukawa, the 22-year-old driver, traveled about 70 kilometers per hour, averaging about 300 km per day.
