Electronic book to be put on mar

Electronic books are being marketed in Japan this fall. The photo shows a newly developed book-size device with a liquid crystal display that enables users to read electronic books, which are to be marketed via satellite-linked terminals at convenience stores. The pilot operation was announced Friday July 3 by a consortium formed by Japanese publishers, electronic firms and retailers.
