World's first cloned twin calves
Workers at the Ishikawa Prefectural Livestock Center feed the
world's first cloned twin calves, shown to the press for the first
time. The calves, born July 5, are the first twins ever cloned from
somatic cells taken from an adult cow. The twins, named ''Noto''
(back) and ''Kaga,'' each drink 2 liters of milk a day, indicating
they are quite healthy, center officials said.
