Five airlines form 'oneworld' global alliance

American Airways, British Airways, announce Monday, Sept. 21, an international alliance with three others -- Canadian Airlines, Australia's Qantas Airways and Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways. The new global alliance, linking some 800 cities in the world, is called ''oneworld.'' The picture shows officials from the five airlines, celebrating the kick-off of the alliance with flags of the logo print of oneworld.
