Protesters greet spent nuclear fuel in Rokkasho
About 100 protesters show their anger over the arrival of a
vessel carrying the first shipment of spent nuclear fuel intended for
treatment at the Rokkasho reprocessing plant Friday Oct. 2 in
Rokkasho, Aomori Prefecture. The Rokuei Maru arrived at the port in
northern Japan with 8 tons of spent nuclear fuel from a power plant
in Tomioka, Fukushima Prefecture.
