Miyazawa makes speech at Asian

Japan's Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa (C) makes a speech at a meeting of top finance officials from Japan and other Asian nations in Washington on Saturday Oct. 3. At the meeting, Miyazawa presented a 30 billion dollar aid package to embattled Asian countries. ''The package is intended to prevent acceleration of deflation in Asia and help the region's early economic recovery,'' he said.
