Five artists win culture award

Five artists, including Academy Award-winning director Richard Attenborough from Britain, were named Oct. 28 as recipients of the 10th Prince Takamatsu Memorial Prize for outstanding cultural achievements. (from L to R) Israeli sculptor Dani Karavan, 67, American painter Robert Rauschenberg, 73, Attenborough, 75, and Russian musician Sofia Gubaidulina, 67. Another recipient, Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza, 65, is not in the photo.
