Ready for action
A plane prepares for takeoff Nov. 5 aboard the U.S. aircraft
carrier Kitty Hawk, which is participating in joint military
exercises of the U.S. Marines and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense
Force in the Sea of Japan. The 81,123-ton Kitty Hawk is taking part
in the annual drills for the first time. It replaced the aircraft
