JAL stewardesses to wear kimonos on New Year flights
Japan Airlines (JAL) stewardesses prepare small traditional
gifts of money at Haneda airport in Tokyo on Dec. 16 to give
passengers on New Year's Day, when they will wear kimonos on limited
flights. JAL, whose stewardesses wore kimonos on New Year's Day in
the past, had quit the custom in 1990 due to its review of in-flight
services.
